IPL(Intense Pulse Light)

The ReNew Institute is proud to offer the NaturaLight intense pulse light system to our patients. The IPL machine is technically not considered a laser even though it is a light based machine. Lasers operate at one specific wavelength of energy and color called monochromic. SEE LASER PHYSICS. The IPL machine uses specific filters of different light colors to maximize the efficiency of this intense light, which gives it more versatility treating skin with varying color (red/brown) damage. NaturaLight offers a non-invasive, safe and effective solution to skin aging by restoring a youthful appearance. This principle is called Photorejuvenation. Photorejuvenation erases skin damage without disrupting the skin’s surface and simultaneously treats a wide range of facial problems to improve the texture and complexion of the skin.

Are these treatments painful?

Tolerance of pain varies from person to person. No anesthetics are required and many patients describe the discomfort as a warming sensation.


What results can I expect?

A gradual decrease in overall redness and flushing can be expected. You will see smoother skin, smaller pore size and fading of sunspots. Rosacea, a common vascular problem, will show significant improvement.

How soon will I see results?

Five treatments are usually performed for optimal results. Improvements are gradual and will accelerate after each additional session. Change in skin tone and a smoother skin will be experienced as soon as the first treatment. Each treatment will take approximately 15-30 minutes.

What areas can be treated?

Although NaturaLight can be used on any part of the body it gives maximum results on the face, chest, neck, and back of the hands. As treatment is based on light absorption in melanin and in hemoglobin, treatments are most efficient in patients with light skin, who are not sun-tanned at the time of treatment.


NaturaLight treatments can be combined with other no down time procedures to give maximum results without invasive surgery.
